Here are some clues. . .

 

·         Does not respond to written communications.

·         Uses drivers' license when asked for address.

·         Does not keep appointments.

·         Uses cash for large dollar item purchases.

·         Sends notes that are strange or illegible.

·         Does not follow written road sign directions properly, especially around unusual situations like construction.

·         When speaking of directions, uses only landmarks as references instead of road signs.

·         Refuses to help children with their homework.

·         Uses crib notes, i.e. a list of numbers 1--20 written out.

·         Asks older children in the family to write notes.

·         When asked to read or write in the presence of others, makes excuses such as "I forgot my glasses," "I'm nervous," or "I have a headache."
